We have so far invested £1.88bn of EU Structural Funds (91% our 2014-2020 allocation), driving a total investment of nearly £3.2bn. 

During the 2014-2020 programme, EU funds have so far:

  • assisted some 7,215 enterprises
  • created over 1,490 enterprises
  • created over 11,320 jobs
  • supported 13,290 people into work
  • supported some 73,255 people to gain qualifications

A breakdown of these achievements at Local Authority level is available below. 


The EU Structural Funds in Wales help support people into work and training, youth employment, research and innovation, business (SMEs) competitiveness, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and connectivity and urban development.
