Beneficiaries of EU funds must carry out procurement in a way that demonstrates transparency, fairness, integrity, competition and accountability

EU Public Procurement Directives

The UK Public Contracts Regulation 2015 (external link) came into force on 26 February 2015, implementing the EU Public Procurement Directives (external link) published in 2014, together with a number of other UK Government legislative changes.

EU Procurement Thresholds from 1 January 2018

On 1 January 2018, the EU Public Procurement thresholds changed to the following levels:

  • Goods and services: £118,133 or over (excluding VAT), Schedule 1 (Central Government) contracting authorities only. For all other contracting authorities the threshold is £181,302 (excluding VAT) 
  • Works/capital: £4,551,413 or over (excluding VAT)
