How climate change affects Wales

We know that we are facing some amount of climate change and that this will have an impact on life in Wales.

We need to further develop the evidence that we use to inform our understanding of Wales’ vulnerability to climate change, the potential consequences, and the challenges and opportunities climate change presents.

We provide funding for the Climate Change Risk Assessment, which helps our understanding of these changes.

Detailed information about Wales' current climate can be found on the Met Office website (external link).

The UK Climate Projections UK Climate Projections (UKCP09) (external link) tell us how our climate is likely to change in the 21st century.
