We are developing plans to deal with the different types and volumes of waste produced by each industry sector.

If everyone lived the way that we do in Wales, we would need nearly three planets to provide the resources needed. For us to use only our fair share, we need to reduce the resources we use.

To do this, we must ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ - waste prevention is a priority. This will affect all of us from:

  • our buying decisions
  • to how we use products and items
  • when we choose to discard them
  • how we separate our waste for collection and recycling or disposal.

The plans will outline how business sectors and householders can help meet the outcomes and milestones set in Towards Zero Waste – our overarching waste strategy for Wales.
