We intend to provide 30 hours a week of government funded early education and childcare for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds in Wales, for 48 weeks of the year.

What will the offer be?

We want our childcare offer to be as clear and easy to access as possible so that parents can continue to choose the providers that best suit their needs.

Working parents will receive a combined total of 30 hours of early education and childcare during term time. The current free early education provided by the Foundation Phase will form part of this offer.

For 9 weeks of the year, outside of term time, parents will receive 30 hours per week of childcare.

When will it become available?

The Childcare Offer is now available for eligible parents across the whole of Wales. Keep a look out for #TalkChildcare on social media to join in our online conversation.
